Your own instructor, $40 an hour instruction with no flight school markup, and training at airports across the Tampa Bay area.
Tampa students train with November Foxtrot Aviation, a St. Petersburg based instructor who teaches at airports across the Tampa Bay area, including the Tampa side of the bay. Lessons are one on one with a certified flight instructor at $40 an hour. A 1.5 hour discovery flight is $140, and lessons run seven days a week including evenings and weekends.
Tampa has good general aviation airports, including Peter O. Knight on Davis Islands and Tampa Executive out east, and both sit within Stefan's range. If you would rather train in St. Petersburg, it is about 30 minutes from downtown Tampa across the Howard Frankland Bridge, and early morning or weekend lessons miss the bridge traffic completely. Tell Stefan where you are and he will suggest the closest option.

Tampa has plenty of flight schools. What is harder to find is a single instructor who stays with you from the first lesson to the checkride, meets you at an airport that fits your life, and charges a rate that makes finishing realistic.
Every airport around the bay sits near Tampa International's airspace, so from the beginning you learn to work with Tampa Approach and fly confidently near a major airport. That experience is exactly what Tampa pilots need, because it is the sky you will be flying in after you earn your certificate.
Not necessarily. Stefan trains at airports across the Tampa Bay area, including airports on the Tampa side. Ask when you book and he will suggest the closest option. St. Petersburg itself is about 30 minutes from downtown Tampa on I-275.
November Foxtrot Aviation charges $40 an hour for instruction, both in the air and on the ground. Aircraft rental is arranged separately. Stefan gives every student a realistic total for their goal before they start.
For many students, yes. One instructor for every lesson usually means fewer repeated lessons, and the $40 an hour rate is lower than most school rates in the area.
Yes. The 1.5 hour discovery flight is $140 and you fly the airplane yourself with an instructor beside you. Ask Stefan when you book and he can plan the route over the Tampa side of the bay when airspace and weather allow.
Send your details and Stefan will call or text to set up a time. Most flights are scheduled about a week out.
